Angela Yantorno – Bio

Angela YantornoAngela grew up as a Suzuki violin child, attended Interlochen Arts Academy and the Ithaca College School of Music in violin performance.  After college Angela took on a new adventure and moved to Oaxaca, Mexico where she worked for a humanitarian agency  and taught English as a Second Language. Inspired by humanitarian work Angela moved to Boston, MA to work in human services and then received her Masters in Social Work in 2004 from Boston College. Seeking solace in nature and a community to raise a family, Angela returned to  Ithaca in 2004 where she is raising her children and has turned her life back to her childhood dreams.. violin performance and Suzuki teaching.  Angela performs with the classical trio Dauphine, co-writes with her husband David Yantorno for their  indie-rock band Not From Wisconsin, performs frequently as a freelance musician and maintains a full Suzuki studio from her home in the Fall Creek neighborhood of Ithaca.
